Project Information
Scope: This project represents the newest elementary school for Boerne Independent School District and is located along Dietz Elkhorn Road, north of IH 10 West in Boerne. The project includes the construction of new school facilities and associated sitework such as parking and drive improvements, on-site utilities and off-site utilities, extensive underground drainage improvements, courtyard and amphitheater improvements, public ROW improvements, detention pond and water quality pond improvements, and site retaining walls. Also included in this project were elementary school field areas, outdoor asphalt play areas, kinder playground improvements and upper level playground improvements. Existing topography is fairly steep and the site is bordered by a 100 yr. floodplain. A flood study was required and the onsite drainage design incorporates detention facilities.
